AB Flat  feet,  whether  rigid  or  flexible,  are  defined  as  having  an  abnormally  low  medial  longitudinal  arch.  Flat  feet  often  present  symmetric  bilaterally,  though  one  side  might  be  slightly  more  affected  than  the  other.  This  chapter  describes  possible  causes  of  flat  feet  in  a  child.
